Composer Libraries

OpenCart is introducing both compiled as well as non compiled themes with the latest release of OpenCart. All the external libraries required to run OpenCart are contained in the compiled code. Compiled version is available via download page of OpenCart while non compiled code can be found at Github.

Events System

Event system now comes tightly packed with engine loader to provide events with trigger automation. This automation is accessible for language, model, and controller both after and before execution of code. This means that MVC files and third party extensions get automatically covered by the events. Even tough all the MVC files are covered by events, manual triggering of events is still quite possible.

Themes

The new release comes along with a new theme setting. Prior to this new release image size were handled by store settings now user has the option to change it using theme settings.
